(877) 822‑2015 Robo call recorded 9 February 2015 ("Sychrony Bank in Draper, Utah" Platinum Master Card Credit Card SCAM) Caller ID: "Sychrony" Also calls from: **this is their first call** This recording represents the first call I've ever received from them. Read the transcript below and notice that they're trying to trick me into calling their number which would result in an instant "business relationship" that would allow them to call me anytime they please. Their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethics, doesn't it? Here is a transcript of their attempt to trick me into calling their number: [female voice] "This is a message from Synchrony Bank regarding TJX rewards platinum Master Card. Please return our call to one 877 822-2015. For faster service visit our web site at www.tjxrewards.com. Our mailing address is 170 West Election Road, Suite 125, Draper UT 84020. Again please call one 877 822-2015. This is a recording. Thank you." I am not sure this is a scam call... I was late paying my TJX card and this # called me multiple times a day leaving voicemails. I never returned the call, however I did make my past due payment via my personal bank account to the AR for TJX card payments and since it's been posted, the # has stopped calling me.

Glad I read the information here, I don't know how they got my phone number. If the bank breached my personal information, they really screwed me up, but I don't have any proof.

It is legitimate caller. TJX. I am late on my payment and they are calling me every day three times a day, seven days a week. Ain't gonna pay any time sooner. Not today!...TJX... Not Today! ...may be next month.

I think it's TJX Rewards Platinum mastercard calling. I didn't pick up, think it's a collection agency. If I don't recognize the number I never answer.

Your Rights

If you're subjected to harassing robocalls or debt collection calls, you have rights under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Each of these federal consumer protection laws prohibits callers and debt collectors from engaging in certain types of activities. These activities can include:

  • Calling before 8:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m.
  • Robocalling your cell phone without your consent
  • Calling you at work after you've told them you're not allowed to receive calls
  • Using profanity or abusive language
  • Threatening you with a lawsuit or arrest
  • Mistakenly calling you for a debt you don't owe
  • Texting your cell phone without permission
  • Sending you faxes without authorization

Under the law, you have the right to sue illegal callers in federal court. In fact, you can potentially recover up to $1,500 per call. Legal representation won’t cost you a penny, because the law says that illegal callers have to pay your attorney fees.
