They call and leave me a message if I don't answer, that is very confusing. It frustrates me when we get calls that are not even for us. They call us every single day also. Ugh. I am just so tired of getting called when we are not the people they are trying to reach. Thanks for all of your time and effort in putting a stop to these harassing phone calls.

I think it's Southwest Credit Systems calling. I didn't bother picking up, think it's a collection agency. If I don't recognize the number I never pick up.

I have been called almost every day 2 and 3 times a day for the past 2 weeks from the collection company. I am at work and I can not answer the call.

They've called a few times and always hang up after a ring or two. Never leave a voicemai. I called back and it was Southwest Credit Collection, and they asked me to verify my address on a street I haven't lived on in many many many years. I told them I didn't live on said street and hadn't for many years and they ended the call.

Called my cell. My phone blocked the call. I called them back. They were calling for someone named Laqiusha. This is not the first call I got for a lady named Laquisha so I think she is giving my number out and not paying her bills.

Calls multiple times a day. Sometimes leaves a voicemail. Sounds super aggressive every time a voicemail is left.

Your Rights

If you're subjected to harassing robocalls or debt collection calls, you have rights under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Each of these federal consumer protection laws prohibits callers and debt collectors from engaging in certain types of activities. These activities can include:

  • Calling before 8:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m.
  • Robocalling your cell phone without your consent
  • Calling you at work after you've told them you're not allowed to receive calls
  • Using profanity or abusive language
  • Threatening you with a lawsuit or arrest
  • Mistakenly calling you for a debt you don't owe
  • Texting your cell phone without permission
  • Sending you faxes without authorization

Under the law, you have the right to sue illegal callers in federal court. In fact, you can potentially recover up to $1,500 per call. Legal representation won’t cost you a penny, because the law says that illegal callers have to pay your attorney fees.

If you're ready to bring an illegal caller to justice, report the call using our online form (and tap the button asking for a free case evaluation) or phone 844-685-8700 right now.
