I picked up the phone, said "hello" and there was no response. I said "hello" again and no response. I said "hello" a third time and was about to hang up when a lady came on. She said "I'm calling from Sprint and I wanted to tell you how you could collect your free tablet." I said not to call me any more and hung up. Even though I use Sprint as my cell phone company, I doubt this was from Sprint. First, the pausing after I said "hello" is typical of an auto-dialer/ robo-call. Second, if it was from Sprint, why didn't the caller use my name, such as "Hello, Mr Jones...". Instead, she introduced herself and went straight into the sales pitch. They called my cell phone, which is on the FTC and State of FL Do Not Call List.

This actually IS Sprint, it's not a scam. I just received my upgraded phone from them. I was weary at first myself and asked a lot of questions but they knew all about my account. The reason I'm on this website is I want to switch phones again, so I'm looking to see if I'm able to call this number back or if it's only outgoing calls.

Have been receiving calls daily, 01022018 through 01062018 (with no message) from 800-777-4681.. Mistakenly tried to answer at first only to receive an attempted scam. Advise not to answer.

They just called me and it's a scam. The person saying it is them could be the scammer. I wouldn't recommend answering them. If it was Sprint... they wouldn't call and not leave a voice mail. They don't ask for your personal info through the phone. It's a scam.

It’s a legit number and call. Listen to the guy have them tell you a little about the account. Then you as a worry customer should call sprint to see if it legit. When they tell you it is. Maybe you can write good/better info about the number. Not everyone wants your info peeps. Just saying

Sprint itself is a scam. Stat away from this company. Sprint s***w me hundreds of dollars. Worst phone company ever. They will offer you good deals and don’t return your money. Trust me, this scammer is probably working for Sprint.

Hi, I never leave notes on these types of calls but I did verify with Sprint that this is NOT a number that belongs to them. The callers have automated hold music posing as sprint as well as automated options to select service. When the scammer picks up the call they continue to act very authentically like a Sprint agent, but once again they are SCAMMERS.

Thank you John for your comment. similar call but to me they didn't respond my greeting, it was just silence, so I hung up. And searched the number here, and found information from you. It seems I agree with you, I doubt if it was from Sprint.

My phone blocked this number twice so I contacted Sprint through chat. I have been a Sprint customer for 14 years. I spoke with rep David C. who confirmed this is the Sprint Sales Team. If you are getting a call from this number, you are probably eligible for an upgrade. This is NOT a scam.

Confirmed with Spring customer service that 800-777-4681 is not Sprint. Spring told me this was most likely spam telemarketing.

That is odd. I just chatted with rep David C. from Sprint and he confirmed this number is from the Sprint Sales Team. They call when you are eligible for an upgrade.

People saying it us a scammer posing as Sprint. Could be. However Sprint is a super weird company... they are going thru changes in terms of how they market to us, and it's annoying that this is not a local campaign.

why are you so gung ho about this call not being a scam. you have literally replied to almost everyone saying it's not a scam but yet most of these comments are saying it is. but I got 2 calls from this number in 15 mins I do NOT have sprint sooo, how could I be eligible for an upgrade like most of these people are saying. by the way I'll never have sprint I did years ago like way before I had this number and I don't get service in my area at all. and they tried to get me to stay with them by asking if I had Wi-Fi because then I would have service no matter what, so what good will that do me if I get a flat tire 20 mins from my house and can't make a call? just saying.

I got a call from an indian guy saying he was from sprint and he called me by my first and last name! He also knew what data plan I had and offered an unlimited plan at no extra cost. At which point he asked me "Whats the name of your first elementary School" Wich Sprint will NEVER Do! I immediately knew he was trying to hack my email and i hung up. If you get a call from this number it means your phone was hacked and you'll need to factory reset your phone and or other devices. Anyways hope this helps.

Says I'm in for an upgrade and discount. He did start the message with, "Thank you for answering the call...and it would be recorded for training purposes..." I did not answer...he read from some script. I don't answer calls not listed in my book. I am up for an upgrade (for the past 6 mos) but never had a call about it. I normally get notices by mail.

07Sep17 Called me three times. The second time I answered and played along. But never gave personal info. She insisted on getting my pin. Which thankfully I really don't remember. She hold me to hold on as she was going to try something. So I did for about 30 seconds then hung up. Shortly after I received a text from Sprint about my pin. About resetting it. And a few seconds later, she called again. But I didn't answer. They left a voicemail. Haven't read it yet. Was looking up the number and found this web page.

Called me telling me they were Sprint and that I had a free upgrade from my 6s plus to an 8. I told them I wasn’t interested and they told me I could call back if I changed my mind. Called me by my name, but said it like a question. I’m sure if it was sprint they would definitely know who they are calling. Definitely a scam

This number has called me 4 times so far in the last 15 minutes. I"m sending it to voicemail where someone breathes heavily into the phone from 30 seconds up to a minute then someone is speaking another language I don't understand but not directly to my voicemail. It's like they butt dialed me? I was on hold with Sprint when these calls started.... I'm going to block this number.
