Received call from "Unavailable". Left voice mail that they started the recording before voice mail kicked in so I missed who they claimed to be, but stated like above, they were contacting me due to insufficient funds, and to call them before they contacted my "county" and employer to verify employment.
You would think that if they really wanted their scam to work they would learn the LAWS!!!!
1. Why does a legitimate collection agency or law firm NOT have caller ID information show up?
2. Why do they think that they can bully people into handing them over ANYTHING, with the threats that they use of "contacting my employer - which btw is agains the law unless they are serving them with a garinishment, which means they have already received a judgment against me, which means I was served with papers to go to court months ago.
3. Why when you Google the phone number do you get these pages, and not a legitimate collection company or law firm?
I could go on, but PLEASE use common sense and do not hand them over a penny and PLEASE report them to Ohio, as well as your own State's attorney, etc!
