I have received three calls today to my work number (not associated to my personal apple account - so I know absolutely this is not legit), and had two voicemails from last week.

Falsely claim to be from Apple Support. They ask you to share your desktop via support software, then hack your PC and steal credit card and other info.

Caller ID showed this number 800-694-7466. I answered. Guy with a thick foreign accent said he is from Apple Support. Pure scam. Do not do what they ask you to do.

I was scammed two years ago by similar situation and it cost me $500.00. I block calls and never call anybody back if they happen to call on an unblocked number. I would like to see something done about using our communication system in such a bad manner especially when our senior citizens are more likely to believe this trash!

claim to be from apple, but want access to PC. kept him on line as long as possible (I was eating lunch the whole time) to keep him from talking to a possible sucker. finally blew my whistle in the phone and added the number to nomorobo. if enough people chew up their time they won't be able to make any money and hopefully will starve.

Rcvd a call from 800-694-7466 saying my apple ID was hacked from China and or Russia Wanted to remote into my computer Then asked me if I had a Mac or PC. Told him to verify he was from apple. He called back from the 800 # on apple's website after he directed me to go there to prove apple's phone number.. So they can clone a phone number. Told him to prove my other contact phone numbers on my acct and he had me on hold Then I asked why does he want to remote into my mac - what does he plan on doing At that point I think he realized he wasn't going to get anywhere with me. Call ended. They have called my house 2 addt'l times since then and left messages telling me to call 518-312-4937 DO NOT do anything with either of these #'s
