It is a spam caller telling you have outstanding warrants/allegations against you and if you do not call them they will contact local law enforcement to arrest you. Again, it's spam.

I reported them to the IRS. If they get sued and have to pay a fine, you'll get a cut for reporting the call. A couple of months ago, I got a check for $270 as the result of a class action suit against one of these scam outfits. Report them to the authorities, and It could pay off when an enterprising lawyer gets their hands on the complaints.

SCAM call declaring important IRS payment matter and threatening local police action if call back not received to discuss. The following is from the IRS website: The IRS initiates most contacts through regular mail delivered by the United States Postal Service. However, there are special circumstances in which the IRS will call or come to a home or business, such as when a taxpayer has an overdue tax bill, to secure a delinquent tax return or a delinquent employment tax payment, or to tour a business as part of an audit or during criminal investigations. Even then, taxpayers will generally first receive several letters (called “notices”) from the IRS in the mail. Note that the IRS does not Threaten to bring in local police, immigration officers or other law-enforcement to have you arrested for not paying.

Have received this message several times in the last month also. It's out of New York. Telling me I have 4 serious allegations against me and I need to call them back to discuss them. It I don't, the local police will take me into custody. Obviously a scam. I can never catch the beginning of the recording so not sure where they say they are calling from.

I just receive a call and voicemail was left from a male with a heavy accent stating his name is "Barry Level"...it was difficult to understand the name. The man stated he was from the investigation department of the IRS...he knew my name and address. Furthermore, he stated that two ceritified letters were sent to me and that I must be ignoring them so he is now placing a call to me to let me know a federal warrent has been placed under my name. Last, the man stated that when I am free/available to call him back.

516 462 7471 tried calling this number back and a magic jack machine answered... if I would like to buy a magic jack device to make calls anywhere for free to visit the magic jack website. Apparently the scammers service is expired or disconnected, definitely a scam.

I just got a call and I am blocking them. It wasn't a recording. It was a man with a thick .accent saying he was Officer so and so. I cut him off and said everyone is now on to you and why don't you get a life and a real job, click. If you got the call on your phone you can block them.
