It is rather unlikely that almost all instances when the calls come they are from people with different tones. Today the telephone call was from a person with a foreign accent and the voice was difficult to hear. The last time they called I thought of being smart and told them that I would like to report the calls to the authorities for harassment as I had been called at least for more than 9 instances within these three weeks. Looks like they were bought in with my prank? Maybe I was smarter than them?

This is the first time I heard regarding this incident from my spouse. This is her first appointment as an Executive and she was very thrilled with her job until two weeks ago when all this had happened. All this is because of a few telephone calls coming on her new Android at odd times from one of her Managers who is currently on sick leave. All employees in her work place is aware of the telephone calls and she is highly dismayed as this fellow is a married man. She has decided to submit her letter of resignatin with immediate effect. It Is a pity as finding jobs are hard these days.

Your Rights

If you're subjected to harassing robocalls or debt collection calls, you have rights under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Each of these federal consumer protection laws prohibits callers and debt collectors from engaging in certain types of activities. These activities can include:

  • Calling before 8:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m.
  • Robocalling your cell phone without your consent
  • Calling you at work after you've told them you're not allowed to receive calls
  • Using profanity or abusive language
  • Threatening you with a lawsuit or arrest
  • Mistakenly calling you for a debt you don't owe
  • Texting your cell phone without permission
  • Sending you faxes without authorization

Under the law, you have the right to sue illegal callers in federal court. In fact, you can potentially recover up to $1,500 per call. Legal representation won’t cost you a penny, because the law says that illegal callers have to pay your attorney fees.
