Pretending to be the CRA - saying they have an arrest warrant out for me if I do not pay. I did not answer, but they left a voicemail with a text to speech device. Do not pick this phone call up or call back.

They Said its officer Eric Shaw and my social security is used by someone in Texas. I asked for his social security number and I .told him he is on a recorded line. He gave his badge number which was irrelevant. Still continued asking if the address on the file was correct. It was not he made up some address where I have never stayed. Then asked for my current address. I asked them to find out my current address if they are from SSN office and send me a letter to my current address. Do not pick up phone. Big time Pro Scammer.

Received a voicemail saying there was an arrest warrant out for me, I thought it was the wrong number so I called back and he got me bad. Had me believing his bullshit that I was in arrears for tax evasion and there was a police officer coming to take me to prison! I know I'm naive but this should not be happening to people.

Called my 12 yr old daughter and told her that he was an officer from social security and there were 7 allegations that were made against her social security number so he needed the last 4 numbers of her social security number and her full name/address. Thankfully she didn't know where her social security card was kept but gave him her name and address! It scared her quite a bit!

Called my phone saying I had a warrant for my arrest, he said his name was Eric Shaw and that his badge number was 417J2741. Don't give him any information!!! It's a scam!! Officers won't call you to let you know that you have a warrant or not. Did NOT sound like an American, either. That's when you know it's a scam for sure!!! I'm not sure how to report the numbers, because he has used multiple ones and if you try to call back, it goes to an automatic message. If anyone did give any information out to this person, I would call your bank and your local police station to make sure you don't get any money taken!!

got a call from an "eric shaw" badge number
417j2741. he told me that i had a warrant out for my arrest from my social security number is linked to the opening of HUNDREDS of bank accounts; i knew this was false. but still could be possible, so i stayed listening. he asked for my SSN and luckily i lost it, then he asked for my passport number which i did give but you cant do much with. red flags -call showed from USA i am in canada. he did not have any way to explain this and what he did say made no sense at all -he refused to give me the reason for my arrest warrent until like 10 minutes in which is my right to know -he refused to give me the prescient where the officer worked at, i kept asking until he just hung up on me. -if theres a warrent for your arrest the poilice just show up and arrest you they dont let you know ahead of time that theyre coming. ive been arrested before so i know my address and such are in the system they dont need to go looking for that information by calling me, it makes no sense at all. -he was clearly indian, which is fine, but not many indian men are usually named eric shaw. LOL such a scam,

I am disabled on SS and received a very upsetting call today from someone claiming to be officer Steven Shaw with SSA and told me there were over 16 fraud accts opened in my name and I have warrants out for my arrest. Said his badge number was 417J2741. Spoke poor English and also had another fellow call saying he was Shaw's supervisor using the name Samuel Marshall. They both told me that I was being watched for several weeks by the Fed's and was going to Jail! OMG what a******s!!! Be careful folks scams are out there!

My call came from (858) 816-1618, but it was the same "Officer Eric Shaw - Badge #417J2741" claiming to be with the Social Security Administration Office of Investigations. He claimed that there had been 16 fraudulent bank accounts and credit cards opened under my SSN, and that these accounts were being used for money laundering and drug trafficking. He claimed that a warrant had been issued for my arrest and that officers would be coming to arrest me in 45 min. Scared the c**p out of me, but then I found this page and breathed a sigh of relief. Thank you. I didn't give him any info. Be careful. These scammers are getting more creative and more aggressive.

Got a call from ‭a Eric Shaw (347) 748-5241‬ he had a poor accent. He had my full name and at first sounded legit. So I gave him my address and last 4 of my social. Only because I recently had my wallet stolen and assumed he was following up on that. But after a few minutes things got fishy sounding on his end. He asked for my local Sheriff’s ph # and told me to google it. Then he tried to get someone else on the line that he claimed was from the sheriff’s office. That’s when I told him that I was on to him and he promptly hung up. Luckily I have taken ID theft precautions since my wallet being stolen and hopefully he doesn’t get very far w the info he got from me considering it public record. But, be careful. These guys are evil.

Just got a call from Officer Eric Shaw, badge 417J2741, saying that there had been suspicious activity using my social security number. He asked me for my name, and I told him I would not do business with someone who called me, because I don't know if it is legitimate. When I told him I would address the situation if I got an official notice in the mail, he hung up on me. Scammers are such a dangerous nuisance! Go out and make your own money legitimately and stop trying to scam other people's hard-won earnings!!

called said someone is in texas using my social and needed me to verify my last four digits or i would be arrested for refusing to cooperate by local police dept.. i really hope that when they get caught all these calls are charges for attemped identity theft. heres the proof^ if they were charged for each call they wouldn't do it. 100 charges even 10 for the same crime is all bad news for the convicted

Just received a call from "Eric Shaw - Badge #4172741" from the SSA reporting that my SSN has bee suspended as there have been 50 accounts opened with my information in the state of FL. I did verify my address and the last 4 of my SSN. I became increasingly cautious and attempted to google the caller and found this information. BE CAREFUL when you receive calls such as this.

Just received a call from officer Eric Shaw - Badge # 417J2741 He proceeded to tell me that I have arrest warrants and someone is using my ss #. Then he told me he needed to verify the last 4 of my social. I told him if he works for the ss admin he should have this information. The more I questioned him the more upset he got with me telling me "I am trying to help you" When I asked for his tel # to call him back he hung up on me.

Received call from Eric Shaw Badge 417J2781. First there was automated call stating that My Social Security was about to be stopped due to fraud and that I had to hit "1" to talk to an agent. Shaw then answered the ph0ne... with Indian or Middle Eastern accent. Typical of Scammers is their need to literally SHOCK you into action by threatening HEAVY penalties. With him it was all about potential charges and arrest, and investigation of my SSN from 7 different agencies (really? Lil ole me has the attention of 7 different agencies? Seriously?). He mentioned my middle name and my "Sr" suffix (due to my youngest son). He then gave first few parts of my address. When he asked me to provide last 4 of my social... and said "Nope" you can't google that... at all.. I told him "if you have that, then you don't need me to verity, YOU tell me". He tried to talk around it and then argue with me., But I explained to him, FIRST, the SSN administration would not CALL me, they would send me a letter in USPS. Also, his accent was a dead give away as well as the call from 1-833-100-6831 which did not seem to be a real number or have a Caller ID location that popped up on my cell phone. He tried to get smart a few times, but then I told him that he was being dishonest fooling others and that I was not some little old lady or old man or little kid and that he could not get over on me. I then told him whatever God he serves, Allah, God, Harry Krishna, will punish him for doing what he was doing, and then I hung up with a "You have a blessed day". It seems like the more resistant I became, the more frustrated he became.

I received a call just right now claiming my SSN has been used to open 25 bank accounts and 16 credit cards. I was taken by surprise because this guy with a middle eastern accent knew my full address so I kind of believed him. But then I stumbled upon this page and got relieved. I did verify my full address and last 4 digits of my SSN so I'm a little worried. I also gave him information about the types of credit cards I have and the amount I have in them. Should I be worried?

He called me telling me he was going to send police and federal officers at my house to arrest me. I supposedly have millions of dollars in off shore accounts.. this is the 2nd time these people called me.. they tried to get my information last time I tried to call the number back it was a dead number I guess. I hung up on him this time. It's a scam. I dont have no millions I wish I did! They try to scare u into telling them ur personal info. I told the man I was googling him n his name came up as a scam and he let my know federal agents will be here to arrest me.

The number I got was 808-290-1908. I gave him a fake last name trying to keep him on the line and see how far I could string him along. Apparently I had 18 bank accounts in California, Texas and Maryland. Of those accounts over $800k had been withdrawn! Oh, whoa is me, what will I ever do?? I pressed for the first name on this most egregious accusation and alas, the line went dead. What was funny is that he told me i was on hold and i could still hear other 'investigators' in the background giving other people the riot act. Not today ISIS, not today.
