From the Social Security Administration Office. Asked me for my name. Advised him, you just called me. Who are you trying to reach? And he said, I’m going to refer you to the FBI. Informed him just got off the SSA and you are a fraud. And he hung up during what I said.

The exact message I received was: "Have received this phone call from our department is to inform you that there is a vehicle enforcement action filed on your social security number for criminal activities so when you get this message kindly referred to as soon as possible on our number that is 210-361-6163 I repeat 210-361-6463 before we begin with the legal proceedings. Thank you." There are several red flags in this message. For one, any FBI agent will tell you the broken English is always a dead giveaway. Second they use a strange mixture of language a business would never do like leaving a threatening voicemail but use the word "kindly". Most agencies do not contact you in a manner like this. These robo calls are designed to scare and create fear in some people. NEVER call them back because it confirms they have reached a valid phone and you will be added to even more fraudulent calls. Best thing to do is block the number and delete the voicemail. If it ever involves money or crypto currency you should contact the FBI immediately. They have a special task force that deals with that type of call. Since this call did not mention payment or cryprto, the best thing to do is just ignore it. It is a scam!

As others have reported, I received a recorded message indicating there was a problem with my Social Security Number advising me I needed to call 210-361-8678. I filed a complaint at the FCC Consumer Complaint webpage at https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us Hopefully, if the FCC receives complaints from others they will take action against whomever is behind these attempts at fraud.

Received a call from 210-361-5373 (Texas) with a recording that there’s an arrest warrant and I must call them back before they proceeded with legal action. I called them and someone whom I could understand (bad English and strong accent). They asked for my name and I replied that I wasn’t providing them any information, and that they should know my name if there’s an arrest warrant and they could cross reference using my phone number. I figured there’s nothing they could do with only my name only so I gave my first and last name. She responded by providing me my real middle name. She then said they had to confirm that I am actually the person they need to speak to and asked for my birthdate and social. I responded that if she was indeed law-enforcement she would know that they would never request social or DOB. She should have that info if there’s an arrest warrant. She then hung up on me. Total scam... don’t bother returning their phishing call.

Got a call from this number with a recorded message and non-descript company name and. They said there is illegal activity with my social security number. I ignored and didn't call back because I know it's a scam. I'm a social worker in California and if I committed a criminal act I would be fired.

I called the number back and said I was returning a call. He immediately asked for my first and last name. I responded and said no, I'd like to know who is calling. He responded with Thank You, and then hung up!
