Left a message for me on a relatives answering machine. Caller spoke with an Indian accent and claimed to be an Officer of the Treasury department. Advised that I or my lawyer contact him ASAP or a warrant for my arrest would be issued. Also my address was under federal investigation. My local police department verified the scam when Icalled them.

The #202-922-4803 called my cell today. I let it go to voicemail. The message is from a man of Indian decent by the name "Officer Brian Lincoln" calling from the "Department of the Office of Treasury, Inspector General for the Tax Administration offices". He stated a case was filed against me and my "physical address is under Federal investigation so if you want to avoid legal action please get back to us as soon as possible at 202-922-4803." First of all, nobody from the Treasury Department is ever going to call and leave someone a message. Secondly, the only thing wrong with my taxes is that I pay too much. And finally, the local police department confirmed this is a scam they are aware of and it was good that I didn't answer the call or attempt to return the call.
