Do Not Call Programs By State 2011-2012

If the solution is not found on the page the easiest thing to do is to call the Telecom company. They will explain the different available options such as "Privacy Manager" which forces the caller to identify him/her self so you can choose if you wish to answer the phone. The terminology may difer from company to company, so the best thing is to inquire about the call filtering services they offer.

  • Do Not Call Registry
    Do not call registries are available in many countries like U.S, Canada, U.K and Australia.
    Certain states in U.S have their own State Managed Do Not Call registires.
  • Call blocking (*60)
    Dial *60 on the phone and then the number you wish to block*
  • T-Mobile phones
    On the phone itself, go to Menu> Settings> Call> Call rejection and enter the number
  • Call Privacy Apps
    If you own a smartphone like iPhone or Blackberry you can download an App which can help you block and/or identify calls. Currently there is no industry standard so you would need to consult your devices Application Marketplace.
  • Bell Canada (Call Screen)
    This is a paid option which can block up to 12 different numbers. When a chosen number calls they'll get a message that you're unavailable. The caller cannot leave you a message either.
