Received a call form 914-265-1212 stating he was with the General Surgions office of treasury conducting an investigation that I had done fraud with noise in the background like if it's a call center he had a heavy foreign accent this is not the first time he calls about a month back they called several times even on a Saturday stating I had committed IRS fraud, today he stated there is a warrant for my arrest asking where I was and who I'm with which I answered what is it to you what this has to do with the investigation then on a couple of occasions he threatened me that the Feds would be waiting for me at my apartment I told him ok he was not to happy he was going to transfer my call to another department got a loud noise I hang up he called me back I told him not to call anymore that I had called the IRS last month when they called he acted like if he didn't call a few weeks ago said his superior needs to contact the IRS to find out more information. Warning to all the IRS will send you letters several times they try to contact you not threatening that there is a weren't for your arrest that the Feds are waiting for you I think they are so stupid think about it, don't get cought up DO NOT GIVE ANYONE ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION if you're not sure call the IRS or your Accountant if you have one or even your tax preparer
They did not have an option to remove my phone number on their political message.
DNC asking for donation. Was very nice and personable. It was a great call. I felt better talking to her then talking to the cable company.
They did not care that i was on the National Do Not Call List.
Electronic voice message claims to be the IRS giving me a final notice about a law suit against me. There was no previous notice. There is no indication that they even know who I am. There is no case reference number. They seem to want me to call back and send them a check. Do you think the IRS has a legal department in Armpit, AKA Roy, WA State?
They did not answer when I responded to their call, and when I called back they hung up on me without giving the company name.
They could not tell me what cards I had.
They could hardly speak english.
Just called me... Didn't even give me time to answer just hung up after 2 rings
Ha, I finally got the way to stop this irritating constant calls; call 866-246-7196 and give the caller's phone number to verify it's on their list and the receiving phone number to add to the do not call list. It actually worked to stop these calls so I thought I'd pass this on to help others.
(682) 703-8279 Robo call recorded 3 March 2015 ("Sally", second call, Federal legislation that can reduce or eliminate student loan debt. Credit Card SCAM) Caller ID: "Local Ranking" Also called February 25, 2015 (same number) and May 8, 2014 from: (888) 397-1420 A thinly disguised telemarketing call from "Sally" (she dropped her last name since the February 25th call) to see if I'm "still interested" in reducing by 50% or eliminating my student loan debt. Of course I never inquired about this subject with them, ever. Of course they'll want to charge a hefty fee to your credit card for a service you can just as easily do yourself. Their "shotgun" approach to making mass phone calls, hoping to find a few people who owe student loans, and their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethic, doesn't it? Here is a transcript of the call: [female voice] "This is Sally. According to our records you've recently inquired about lowering the monthly payment of you student loans. If you are still interested in lowering your payment by more than 50% and seeing if you qualify for loan forgiveness, then please press 1. If you no longer need help or wish to be removed from our phone list, then please press 2. Please choose your option now." Got two calls from this number, no messages, no answer. Looks like a scam!
Same lady calls. She calls about every 10 minutes all day long!!! Says she's from a document processing service locator to serve court papers. Its a debt collector!!!
Really annoying constant calling from different phone numbers to "lower your interest rate on your credit cards". However, that's in the past for me, as I'm now here to spread the word on how to stop this caller. The hard part was figuring it out, the easy part is to simply call 866-246-7196. Give the caller's and receiving phone numbers. They'll verify it's on their list and add the receiving phone number on to the do not call request list. Allow 1-2 business days, and then the calls will stop!
same here, recorded message that the IRS is taking me to court. Very annoying since the REAL IRS already did this and I got it straightened out. I hope their karma catches up to them.
They contiune to call in the Am and PM.
They continue, day after day after day after day.
I was not home. I'm in the do not call directory, and only certain people can get my number to call. Like anyone I do finances with. I also get calls from purported WestJet reps wanting to give me a few thousand etc. I've report the WestJet fake to the CRTC fraud site. Everyone should do this if money is involved, or, you suspect, it is. It just might be, even if they're calling the wrong #. I'm not listed right now either, except with organizations that require my no.
They continue to say my computer is infected and
The caller stated she is from process and summons dept. she says I need to call the number 501-507-0888 before warrant is filed. she then says i must speak to "their" legal dept. its a scam... received a robo-call stating it was google and press 1 to update. I pressed one and got a "hello". Then "what do you want?" Then when I told him he called me, he said" no, you called me so you must want something." Sounded like someone on drugs.
ACT Debt Collection - I looked it up after numerous phone calls to me looking for my exhusband. Looks like they are a debt collector for student loans. This one claims that my ex will really want to talk to her because she can actually help his situation. I have passed on the information to him countless times and judging by the amount I am still getting called, he has done nothing about it. https://accountcontrol.com/Default.aspx
They consitatly keep calling.
They clearly violated the law.
They claimed to be with Microsoft & wanted to fix my computer problems.
They are scammers trying to get people to pay 20 to 30 year old debts that are time barred. They are based in South Carolina and their address is www.dynamicrecovery.com and 135 Interstate Blvd, SC 29615. They forgot to read the law of 2014 that cloning phones is only legal by law enforcement now.
They claimed to be the IRS.
They claimed to be from Microsoft tech support and tried to get me to give them remote access to my computer - total scam!
They claimed to be calling from the number 844-615-7281 but I used *69 to see if he actually called from that # and it could not be tracked.
They claimed they were calling from Microsoft Tech Support and that my computer was sending them messages that I was downloading viruses.
They claimed I won a prize for a contest I did not enter.
They are switching callers now and stating that they are calling from a lawyer's office. Signing a warrant and will embarrass you at work when they come to arrest you if you don't pay the bill now. Know your rights! Hang up! Tell them to contact your attorney, give them bogus information! Do not confirm any of your information! If they cant get the money out of you one way they will do it any way they can!
