Received a robocall at 9:00 a.m. from Fort Lauderdale, FL (954-947-5520), followed by another at 9:13 a.m. from Woodside, NV (917-382-4178).. Both calls left the same message: "Hello. This call is officially a final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is "filling" (should have said "filing") a lawsuit on your name because you have tried to do a fraud with the IRS, Internal Revenue Service, and we are taking a legal action and we are issuing an arrest warrant on your name. To get more information regarding this case file, just call us back on our department number 917-382-4178. I will repeat it, 917-382-4178. Thank you."
So....most of us know that the IRS would not handle taxpayer issues in such a manner. They would not call you let alone use such poor grammar. If you receive these bogus calls, don't call them back! If you get a live person, they'll attempt to intimidate and coerce you in to believing they are for real....they're NOT!! Just hang up and if you have the capability to block the number, do it!!!.
