Threatening "second opportunity to avoid initial appearance" before magistrate, judge, or federal grand jury. If I do not return call all she can do is "Wish me a good luck as the situation unfolds on you."

I have received other threatening calls from: 845-445-3816 = stating "I will be taken into custody by local police as there are 4 serious allegations in my name".... Another one... 240-630-4096: "IRS has filed a law suit against my name for tax evasion so before anything goes wrong give us a call..." Hope NOBODY FALLS FOR THESE RIDICULOUS CALLS!

I received the same nonsensical gobbledygook threat today, sarcastically wishing me "good luck" if I didn't respond. Almost thought about following up with them since I'm a retired federal agent.

Jason called with the same information as above, but also included a name and badge # 233947. Stated I would be brought to justice and facing 5 years in federal prison. I contacted the police about the harassment call and they stated to report it to the IRS @ 800-366-4484 and verify your phone numbers are not on any social media sites (as we know some people do put that info on there).

I got the same message today on my cell phone. I blocked the number. 917382-4178. I'm pretty sure they'll call back with a different number. Really annoying.

Received a robocall at 9:00 a.m. from Fort Lauderdale, FL (954-947-5520), followed by another at 9:13 a.m. from Woodside, NV (917-382-4178).. Both calls left the same message: "Hello. This call is officially a final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is "filling" (should have said "filing") a lawsuit on your name because you have tried to do a fraud with the IRS, Internal Revenue Service, and we are taking a legal action and we are issuing an arrest warrant on your name. To get more information regarding this case file, just call us back on our department number 917-382-4178. I will repeat it, 917-382-4178. Thank you." So....most of us know that the IRS would not handle taxpayer issues in such a manner. They would not call you let alone use such poor grammar. If you receive these bogus calls, don't call them back! If you get a live person, they'll attempt to intimidate and coerce you in to believing they are for real....they're NOT!! Just hang up and if you have the capability to block the number, do it!!!.
