Kindly provide the REF# (8 Digits Money Transfer Control Number) so all procedures in checking the correctness of funds into your account can be completed. I just placed furniture on Craigslist for sale and was contacted by "Caroline" from this number 917-283-5758. The "buyer" said they needed my zip code in order to make arrangement for private hauler for pick up once the payment clears. " Let me have your PayPal name and email address for payments. I don't like using PayPal unless I know the person so this was odd to already. Now I come here and see this was a scammer.

I posted an ad to sell furniture on craiglist, for the first time today. Almost immediately "Caroline" fm 917-283-5758 text me asking questions about the furniture. She sounded like she was really interested in it, but some red flags started to go up when she was so long in her responses and saying how she wouldn't be disappointed in buying it from me. She then asked if I had a paypal to receive payment. I told her no and she told me to "kindly sign up..." and to let her know when I am done. Instead, I went to Craigslist scammer page and took a screenshot of possible scammers asking for paypal.....I never heard back from her! Then out of curiosity, I researched her number and found this site. Thank you for the confirmation that this person is a POS scammer!

This just happened to me! Same story, wanted to buy a bed sight unseen. It was my 1st time selling on Craiglist sink wasn't sure of what people did. I set up s PayPal account, but then she was asking me to go and send $400 thru moment gram to send to the movers and as soon as I did that, I'd get my $. Well things started sounding fishy and then I googled her name and phone number. I just sent her a text telling her I wasnt interested anymore and blocked her number. BEWARE!!

My story is the same as others: Immediate reply to a new craigslist listing, eager to buy my item site unseen, will arrange for pick-up., then sent a phony Paypal email, saying that she paid $700 more that I was asking, and this money would be released after I sent the $650 to the "moving company" by Moneygram. Do people actually fall for such an obvious scam? Can't someone trace the number back to the person that has it and arrest her (or him)?
