They ask for money from various pay services, it's highly likely a scam. In my case it's "home security system" with a strong bent meant to scare you by rattling off questionable stats... This is especially rude to folks who have had criminals erroneously harass them in *seemingly* separate incidents. As others have noted try to call the # back & ask to be put on the no call list (as you can do with any 1/2 legit telemarketer) & you get "this # is no longer in service".
As a citizen of North America I suggest anyone who receives this call make a report to the feds as this is likely part of a bigger scam. Email the feds here: email@example.com
Received a call from this number on my cell phone about 7:35 pm. No one answered my hello and no recorded message. Just a hang-up click after answering. Tried to call back twice and received same message as above, "number cannot be completed...." I will be reporting to Texas and US do-not-call complaints.
I recieved a phone call from this number. When I answered with \"hello\" the caller hung up. I chose not to call back, because I goggled the number and found this page. Clearly, there is supspicious activity going on here.
They called my boyfriends phone and he answered they hung up. Then about 5 minutes later I got a call on my phone with the same thing happening. They just hung up. I think maybe the cell phone company might have released their customers numbers. Because our numbers are not close in sequence at all. Hmm strange but then again there have been allot of security breaches with allot off companies.
