THE BAD NEWS: Card Services calls aren't going to stop anytime soon. THE GOOD NEWS: You can retaliate, reduce the misery, and even have some fun. RETALIATE: Waste these turkeys' time. Keep them on the line by acting like an interested prospect. Give them bogus data, including a combination of two different credit card numbers, scrambled Social Security digits, and a modified ZIP Code. Important: provide a credit card company's real 800 number. After they call the credit card company, you can give them the same credit card info as before with two of the numbers transposed, thus causing them to make a second verification call. Or you can respond, "Guess what ... H-O-O-N-N-K-K [from a $6 air horn] you've been PRANKED! Call back tomorrow for more bullshot." Now they're the butt of your joke. REDUCE THE MISERY: Landlines. Enroll for the free service at nomorobo.com. Simultaneous ringing, a free feature many providers offer, enables nomorobo to receive, answer and, after one ring, automatically hang up on nuisance telephone numbers. Cell phones. Block the number, an option that becomes available on the iPhone if you click on the "i" on the right in the list of recent calls and scroll to the bottom. Unfortunately, Card Services will keep calling from new spoofed numbers, which eventually should motivate you to retaliate. HAVE FUN: Turning the tables on the perpetrators with mischievous deception and the news they've been duped provides instantaneous vigilante satisfaction. Plus you serve your fellow call recipients by slowing down this evil operation's efforts to defraud them.
Answered but no response. Said hello then it disconnected from the distant end. Added them to my "ignore call" listing of Shytehead.
when I immediately called back it said it was DISCONNECTED.
Asked him for his name and he said it was Josh. I asked him where the offices were located and he said all over. I asked him where he was located currently and he said my backyard and called me a dickhead. Hahahaha this is kinda fun f*****g with these people!
I get calls from this "company" almost daily from various numbers across the country. I've tried hanging up immediately and not answering. Every time I select 1 to speak with someone and tell them to quit calling, they hang up immediately. I asked today what I have to do in order to get them to quit calling. His response was, "Lower your interest rate". When I said no and to quit calling, go figure, he hung up. I'm getting incredibly furious with these people calling. I wish I knew where a local office was so I could handle it in person!
I get calls like this all the time and have registered my number on the list of not getting spam/scam calls, lot of good that is doing, I am just not going to answer my phone if the number is not in my contact info.
These fools call my dementia mother everyday. I am so tired of it. They have bee calling for three years now. I hate them. If I ever find out who it s, wooooo. weeee...
Pretty sure this was a scammer. I didn't answer. I work at a computer, so when a number comes up I don't know, I Google it real quick.
I think this is an act of terrorism to the American public. I work at night, and terrorized during the day by these scammers. The NSA Surveillance logs should be able to easily locate the call and money trail. Unless..... the phone carriers are in on the scam, as they are part of the money trail, getting roaming fees for cell phone calls.
870-683-2159 has been calling me on a very frequent basis. Every hour, on the hour. They want to reduce my credit card debt.
Everyday they keep calling my cell phone I turn them in and the next day they call from another number 551,601 256 and 870 I'm on the donot call list but it don't stop them from calling it happens all time of the day and night one time answer it and they said they wanted to lower my interest on my credit card and I told them I done have a credit card and stop calling me most of the time they ring it once and hang up I want this to stop right now.
This number is coming from a landline location Trigg AR carrier South West Arkansas telephone Corperative INC. shouldn't be hard to find out who doing .
The do not call list will not prevent these calls. Why do you expect callers to stop by putting your name on some internet list?
I have a handy air horn for jerks like this. I believe they are a debt collection agency looking for someone who either had my number prior or used my number bogusly. But these types of calls get the jump scare air horn treatment from us.
Bogus final notice for upgraded services
They called when I was working (teacher), left no voicemail. Of course. I just keep blocking their calls, and yes these jerks just keep spoofing new numbers. If a presidential or local candidate could figure out a way to (A) stop the illegal noisy car stereos and modified Harleys in my town and (B) stop this illegal nuisance calling (it's on MY cell phone bill) I'd vote for him/her, whatever party!
these scam callers are being a pain in the butt never know when this will all stop hope they all burn in HELL
