Called at 7:50pm. Did not leave a message, however the display on caller ID was: Vaccine Study
Calls me daily. I do not answer.
I received a call from this number in regards to a vaccine survey. Due to concerns with privacy and scams, I made the effort to research this number in full. I got off the call and researched the vaccine study to verify it was legitimate. I researched M/A/R/C Research (marcresearch.com) to verify they were the company selected to perform the survey. Here is a link to the details on the clinical trial that the survey is gathering data for: http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00855855?term=hib&rank=15. Finally, I called M/A/R/C Research's headquarters phone number from their website (800-884-6272) to verify that the phone numbers 858-391-4123 and 877-542-5471 are indeed their phone numbers. It turns out that those phone numbers are indeed their phone numbers. Since this call is related to surveys for approved clinical trials, I believe that is why it is exempt from the do not call registry. This is not a scam. I actually did the home work. It took me several hours to research this. I spoke with Melanie from their HIB Study help desk to verify their phone numbers, but I did this by calling their main phone numbers that I looked up, not through the people who called me.
Yeah what Shawn said. Exactly. That is what I found out too.
Several calls in last few days, but never any message.
Anyone, Shawn, can set up a bogus web site, so I still wouldn't trust this alleged, so-called vaccine study. So they are now on my block list.
Calling every day, several times a day. Call blocked, but they sure are persistent. Robocalls no doubt.
So I had read from other comments this group seems to be legit, But why ask me to qualify to take the survey? ,I do not feel it ethical to need to qualify to take a survey. I spoke kindly and said I would do the survey, I said I did not want to give personal info for a $30.00 check three times. On the third time I requested to take part but skip the qualify portion, she hung up on me. So you have to give info they can share with other companies to take part. Based on that I say they are almost in the do not call list category. I will not answer if they call back, I will turn them in since they offer money for survey's which makes them a profit market backed by big pharmaceutical companies. The truth is not always the truth you see, but the untruths they hide behind.
I get calls daily from 858-391-4123, usually late at night. There is no one on the line, and no recorded message. If this is not a telemarketer and not a prank call, why don't they say what they want? I, also, am on the DNC registry, but they keep calling
