Offered $100 gift card after completion of survey, after 10 minutes they asked for credit card info to charge for shipping of sample items
Ask me to complete a survey and then disconnected.
This heifer wanted to send me a $100.00 gift card and a $50.00 gift card then she stated let me transfer you to my supervisor to confirm where to send the cards. I cursed her and hung up.
Called me at 8:28 AM today, left no message. Curious.
They said I wond $100 gift card and $50 restaurant card as a reward for some survey or some participation. When I asked then to be specific, they said they are not sure as lot of promotion they offer. Then Nicole transferred my call to Credit Department and some computerised recording was going on. They were asking from my address and phone number. Finally they were asking me for my credit card information to pay shipping and handling for the gift card. I refuse to give it, but they were telling me I am protected by law and I can file dispute to my credit card, but as I know if the billing address is same as for shipping address, you can't file a claim in most of the cases. Upon request to give me a call back they refuse and hang up my call.
Same as Shana above, they ask me for my birth date too and that is the last think I answered (I was that silly). After that I just hanged up, never got to the credit card information questions. I actually asked for whether S&H was free at the beginning and they said yet but perhaps that was so to keep me hooked.
My husband got this same call and was told he had competed a survery and was told he had been selected for a $100 for whatever and $50 for who knows what. My husband so naïve was answering their questions and I overheard him just answering away..they got his name & address & birthday (I Pray that was all) and I got to my husband before they could get any more information from him and told him to hang up on them. I shiver the thought that they would have gotten his ss # and credit card # if I had not intervened. GOD Love him he thought it was legit. Here we Americans are struggling like crazy and these scammers are steady getting away with using our cards, names & ss#. I have placed all my numbers on the DONOTCALL.gov site in hopes the calls will stop. I gave my husband a talking to let me tell you. If anyone calls from a number you do not recognize DO NOT ANSWER it..If what they need to ask or tell you is important, they'll leave a message. OR they will send you something in the mail (which too can be a scam.) NEVER give out your info ! My husband and I are both receiving scam calls on each of our cells. PLEASE no reply's back that are not positive to me. I am a good person ! I just wanted to tell my story in HOPES that someone can benefit from our expeience. Blessings.
Caller stated I won a $100 gift card and I hung up. I never entered a contest so I knew it was a scam.
