Received a telephone call from this number at 0548 on 4/19/14. I did not pick up. However, when I called back, I got a recording saying this number is not in service.
I answered and they said my account had been locked. Since my husband and I have recently changed banks, I was concerned that something had happened. The automated woman then told me I could unlock by pressing 1. After that she asked me to enter my 16 digit card number. After I entered my number I realized how stupid I was and quickly tried to get transfered to someone. They never got my expiration or cvc # but I'm still pretty worried about it. I'm waiting patiently for my bank to open so I can rule them out for the call. Pretty SCARY!
I got a call from this number too today, 4/22/14. Didn't pick-up, but when I tried to call back I got a recording saying this number is not in service.
It sounded like this is Met - your account has been locked. To reactivate press 1 and enter your 16 digit acct number. I hung up and called the number which has been disconnected. the world has become a cesspool of greed and avarice.
The automated message said what sounded like "this is NetSpend your account has been locked, please press 1 to reactivate." I hung up, tried calling back but the number is not in service.
I did not answer but, from the sound of these message posts the same phone number who has called me and all of you is most likely a telemarketing company. Most likely trying to do a survey or sell something. I wouldn't worry, I'm sure they have millions of phone numbers in their date base.
Same deal as the rest. The automated voice told me my "net" account had been locked and that I should press 1. I hung up and surprisingly the phone # stayed in my phone archive. When I tried to call it back, a service voice said that the phone number had been disconnected.
An Automated voice told me my account had been blocked and to press 1 to reactivate. I pressed one and the recording asked for my account number I hung up. When I called the number back it said that the number was out of service
This number called 3 times in two days. Third time it was 4:00 a.m. I have elders and it scared me to get a call at that hour. This third time the caller ID was 000-000-0000 also.... I did Verizon block on both numbers, hope that takes care of it! On one site it said call originates from Pine Valley CA.
Got called at around midnight. I didn't answer, because it was a strange number. Glad I didn't answer!
The first word I heard sounded like half a word. Then, the lady-voice said your account has been locked and to press 1. Glad this site is here with similar experiences so I know it was a scam.
I got this call around 130 am. I didnt pick up but im glad I didnt. Hopefully verizon can completely block this. Thats not okay.
this number called at 2 am. I did not answer. Glad I didn't after reading these comments.
This number called me 15 times in a row about every other minute. I didn't answer any of them.
They called both my phone and my wife's phone stating our net account has been frozen. Coincidently, we just got quotes on moving from OH to CA. It appears our info was given out by one of the companies.
Ok I figured it out it is the net 10 phone you guys bought and never added minutes
Called me just now at 2 a.m. with the same message. No one calls at 2 a.m. with good news so I answered the phone. I did not understand the first part of the message only some account had been frozen and to press 1 for security. Worried I checked the number and this is what I found. Stupid scammers interrupted my sleep!
They called my cell number Sunday afternoon and then my wife's cell phone at 2 AM. We didn't answer.
I received a call on my cell from this number at 3:25 CST this morning. Also just tried calling it, but I called from another phone, not from my cell, just in case it was one of those phone-billing scams... got a strange-sounding recording stating the number had been disconnected. Not appreciating being violated via my cell like this.
