Robo call recorded 21 August 2013 ("Lower your rate...second and final notice..." ) Caller ID: "V082115140900182155" (derived from date and time so no two people see the same CID) Also called recently from: (616) 980-2030 | (616) 613-2228 | (616) 613-2199 | (215) 383-3414 | (415) 333-9999 I wish I had a quarter for every time a robo call voice said "...this is your second and final notice..." This one's so stupid, yet people fall for it. Don't answer your phone, people, if you don't recognize the number. "<female voice>This is a very important message about your current credit card accounts. This is your second and final notice to lower your credit card interest rate and payments. Press 1 now to find out the terms conditions and associated changes before the next billing cycle. Again, this is your final notice as it relates to the financial stimulus. So press 1 now to take advantage of this today." Thanks to Google Voice ( www.google.com/voice ) you can hear this recorded robo call on my Spam Calls web page: http://home.comcast.net/~achx88a/spam/spamcalls.htm Signup for your own free Google Voice account at www.google.com/voice and avoid telephone call spam
I called back the number 616-980-2063 as shown on the Caller ID. I was prompted to Press 1 to speak to a cust rep, or Press 2 to add my number on their own do-not-call list. So I pressed 2, hoping that they would really stop calling me. Who knows if I'm going to get even more calls? Oh well.... I filed a complaint to the National Do Not Call Registry .gov anyway.
These scammers use illegal robot dialers to call people. They are looking to get your credit card account information and they are NOT going to lower your rates!!! Report these and all other unwanted calls to the FTC at 1-888-382-1222. It only takes a couple of minutes and in time you will get less calls. It has been working for me and it will work for you as well.
These telemarketers are using the call services of "Lucre, Inc." You can call Lucre, Inc. Directly and report the numbers. Lucre says they will put a block to your phone from their system. Local: 616-980-4140 This is Grand Rapids, MI. I'm considering sending information to a Grand Rapids newspaper reporter to have the company providing the "service" profiled.
This is at least the 4th call I have received from this number telling me this is my "final notice". Each time I have opted out...and I am still getting called. This time I chose to speak to a representative and when I told him I had opted out numerous times, he hung up on me.
Recording told me this is my last chance to lower my credit card bills. Asked me to press 1 if I wanted my bills lowered. They've called me about once a week for the last 6 months or so. I read on other sites that these are scammers trying to steal credit card info. How in the world can this still happen with today's technology. These guys should be caught immediately and jailed.
robocall to my number on DNC, well I guess that works right? i'm am sick and tired of these calls and will use the info above to try to sue them. would encourage everyone to do the same (616) 980‑2063 Michigan Friday | August 30, 2013 | 12:13 PM EDT | 9 seconds “Financial stimulus so press one now to take advantage of this today.”
So tired of continually receiving these same unwanted phone calls! For each and every unwanted call, please report at both Federal Communications Commission (FCC) websites. 'Squeaky wheel gets the grease.' Please squeak loud! www.fcc.gov/complaints https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.action
This number repeatedly calls even after requesting option to "Not Call". Have reported to FCC & FTC twice. Phoned Lucre Inc. at 616-980-4140 spoke to Eric who said they are telephone company associated with the # and that he would "fix the problem".
Why would anyone answer an unknown long distance number? If you do, you are "doomed" to repeated calls. NEVER engage them in conversation OR ask to be "removed". That will put you on a list of "good numbers" for everyone else to call you. VOIP internet phone service allows scammers all over the world to call us and they use a "spoofed" fake caller I.D. If you block one number they will just "spoof" another one. Many are in a foreign country. Just ignore them. And don't use your name on answering machinge or voicemail. Just use your phone number.
I filed another complaint with the FTC over the phone. Very quick and hopefully useful....but doubtful.
Please stop calling! I have contacted the do not call list several times and still get these type calls!!!
The do not call list doesn't work with this caller. Can anyone suggest how to stop calls from this number? Whatever happened to the rules of the do not call list? I guess this caller is immune. Is this really a michigan credit card agency or what?
when they robo call me, i hit 1 to talk to the scammer, and then i make them listen to the home shopping network!!! aah-haa losers got spammed right back!!
do not like the call
