My mom had a missed call & a voice mail. I listen to it and it was as many of you mentioned before, that the caller was a heavy accent Indian guy who claimed to be from the IRS and his name was Justin Conner. Said something about Mom was owning taxes and she must contact them asap. I was like, how's that possible? Mom been retired for many years. Got me worry a minute and call the 585-633-1792 back. Naturally the message box was full. So I start searching online with that phone number and voila! It's a scam! Came to this site and read that many people got the exact same call. Good thing I do my research! If you are not sure, call your the IRS, not the scammer's number.
Same as above. Absolutely do not call them back. Ironically we received our 2014 refund yesterday.
Left a voice mail today with a very thick Indian accent claiming to be David Cook from IRS. I am glad to find this website supporting our suspicion of scams. Never give out any personal info over the phone.
