Claiming to be an Agent from IRS named Brian O'Conner (he spelled it out for me) with a very thick accent, I think India, but not sure as I had a hard time understanding him with that accent. He claimed that there is a law suit filed against me for owed taxes and asked what my intentions were with the allegations. I told him that I would advise my accountant about it. He said that the accountant isn't liable and that I was liable. Which is true, but I told him that the IRS usually sends us letter notifications, but he said they can't send any mail out since all my documents are currently in court in Washington DC. (Guess he's never heard of sending copies); either way I recorded it and reported the name and phone # to the IRS scam hotline. Doubt it will help catch anyone since these people don't seem that smart, but then the fact people have fallen for this scam is a bit scary - which means there are are dumber people out there than these scammers...sad.
