Message stating there was a case and there were serious allegations against me, needed to call back to prevent further actions being taken against me. Obviously a scam.

I called them back and they hung up.on me the first time when I asked if they had a .ailing address that they sent the notices to. So I called them back again. When I asked them if their was a payment plan they said sure I could pay 2 to 3 thousand today. I told them this was not possible so they asked me what I could pay. Mind you this isn't my first rodeo. I said 25 a month. I was then told my warrants were gone and I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore lmao boy they are really dumb. I knew this scam because they had me in tears last year thinking I was really going to be arrested. I involved the police and hr block who i file with every year. Just wanted to share my experience in hopes it will help someone

Fake IRS. Serious allegations. Sending local cops if I didn't respond. Only a scammer from another country would say "COPS". Professional agencies like the real IRS would say "LAW ENFORCEMENT". The Internal Revenue Service DOES NOT CALL YOU!!!!! They will mail and then certified mail to you. They will even garnish your wages. But NOT ONCE will they call you. And by definition ALLEGATIONS are just that ALLEGATIONS. The IRS doesn't make ALLEGATIONS! Ignorant criminals making a buck!

I receive a call from these people at least every other day. There HAS to be some way to stop them besides blocking every number they roll to.

Claiming to be an Agent from IRS named Brian O'Conner (he spelled it out for me) with a very thick accent, I think India, but not sure as I had a hard time understanding him with that accent. He claimed that there is a law suit filed against me for owed taxes and asked what my intentions were with the allegations. I told him that I would advise my accountant about it. He said that the accountant isn't liable and that I was liable. Which is true, but I told him that the IRS usually sends us letter notifications, but he said they can't send any mail out since all my documents are currently in court in Washington DC. (Guess he's never heard of sending copies); either way I recorded it and reported the name and phone # to the IRS scam hotline. Doubt it will help catch anyone since these people don't seem that smart, but then the fact people have fallen for this scam is a bit scary - which means there are are dumber people out there than these scammers...sad.
