they want to help me save on my credit cards. how can they when I don't have credit cards. quit calling people and trying to scam them
Get many of these from different numbers
Message left regarding credit card debt. Have received repeated calls regarding this issue. Do not have any credit card debt. Despite following directions given to stop calls, they keep calling.
This caller is a scam. Do not give out your credit card information to these jerks. File complaint report with FCC immediately. Hopefully these guys will get fined.
If I didn't auto forward my calls to Google Voice, I would ask the person "oh, can I get your main number in case we get disconnected and I need to call back to resume?" That way I could track the actual company with their real number. this has worked in the past, with very few of them catching on.
Did not leave a message.
CARD SERVICES (no name associated?) Location: Le Sueur, MN They have called all phones for over a year. We are on the Do Not Call List. They Do Not Care. Now callling my cell. I have requested termination of call a number of times. They Do Not Care. Now they just waste their [phone time by taliking to no one, as I set the phone doen for them to talk to furnature.
Have called before. I don't pick it up. They need to shut these people down.
These calls are coming from call centers in Costa Rica and India. They do cold calling for or sell the leads to numerous companies in this country and they know that what they are doing is illegal. Tomorrow this same number may be selling Cruises, Timeshares or Security Systems but if you follow the money it usually ends up in the hands of an American LLC. Keep complaining to the FTC and FCC, and start bugging our politicians to pass laws to make it punishable in criminal court instead of handing out fines that they don't pay and then they are back at it the next day. Another course of action could be to contact phone companies to find out why they won't block spoofed numbers. With today's technology that should be an easy thing to do, unless they are somehow profiting from the use of their systems. Robocalls are illegal unless you have given them prior permission in writing (not worded into some small print contract from a 3rd party) and are absolutely illegal to a cell phone. The Telephone Consumer Protection Act permits individuals who have received certain unlawful telemarketing, such as junk faxes or telemarketing calls, to sue the violator in state courts where they may be awarded up to $1500 for each violation. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/robocalls/ http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2012/07/robocall.shtm http://transition.fcc.gov/cgb/policy/TCPA-Rules.pdf People should continually file complaints with their Attorney Generals office and also file with: http://www.fcc.gov/complaints https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov If enough people keep complaining then maybe something will get done. The FTC has already taken action against some of them: http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2012/02/afl_financial.shtm http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2012/02/voiceblaze.shtm http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2011/12/roycox.shtm http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2010/03/voicetouch.shtm http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2009/05/robocalls.shtm http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2009/12/robocall.shtm http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2009/09/twi.shtm http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2011/02/robocall.shtm http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2009/05/robocalls2.shtm http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2010/12/jpm.shtm http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2010/06/asiapacific.shtm http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/donotcall/mediacenter.html http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2012/03/asiapacific.shtm http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2010/08/voicetouch.shtm http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2011/11/sonkei.shtm http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2010/05/ams.shtm http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2011/01/khalilian.shtm
We are on the do not call list, but caller at this number calls everey once in awhile and leaves a message about saving on credit cards. I have stopped picking up, but the calls continue.
They called about lowering my CC debt, my card is current so I knew this is a scam, I am on the do not call list so I will be filing against them asap!
Lowering my CC debt, it is a scam. I called my carrier and ATT is clueless, told me to go onto donotcall list - I am already there. Here's my totally uneducated solution ... There is a difference between the caller ID number that we see, and the BILLING number that phone company has. I'm adding to the wonderful suggestions regarding calling attorney general and fcc - that you should also ask your phone company to provide a method to report the caller (think *69 but instead of calling last number, it reports a scammer) - to which the carrier could cross reference using the Billing number (not caller ID number) of that line. The carrier could access charges to the calling entity, or turn them off after an 'unacceptable number of complaints' - and that would put a grinding stop to the whole scamming process. I'd even be willing to pay a few cents per reporting to stop the calls.
Number owned by Level 3 customer. Call Diane @ 877-371-8776 in Fraud Services and she will contact their customer and ask them to remove you from the calling. If anyone can get the company name, address, etc. we need to file small claims action and collect penalties for not giving the business name ($500), not providing a DNC policy ($500) and not having a DNC policy ($500)
This 'Heather/Rachel' call has been going on for years now. I've decided to forward my phone to my Congressman's office while I'm at work. Maybe if we all did that something would be done about this.
I have gotten this call repeatedly--stayed on the line today to talk with a real person who hung up when I complained that they were ignoring my hitting no. 3 to discontinue calls. AND I'm on the do not call list! NEVER have outstanding balance on credit cards. Love Brad's idea of forwarding calls to his Congressman's office!
I got a call from this number and also from 407-476-5538 this morning. My caller ID says Card Services for both. Previously I had received such a call, got disconnected and called my credit card company to ask about it. The rep. said that if they were offering a lower credit card interest rate, they would send me a letter. I'm also on the Do Not Call Registry, but these are random calls. Wish something could be done!
I have printed out how many times this company has called me. If you do not think I have proof, think again. I am on the do not call list, so let the proceedings begin. I am able to take legal action and plan to do so. I am a lawyer and I deal with cases like this.
When I stayed on the line to speak to someone, I asked them what credit card they were talking about and they hung up. Also another time I asked them who their company was, they also hung up. I have asked to be removed from their calling list, but yet they still call. I am also on the do not call list.
Remember folks. The same people running the utterly worthless "Do Not Call" registry are the ones who want to take over your kids' health care.
Multiple recorded calls from different numbers all claiming to help with credit; if you answer quickly enough supposedly you can enter a number to be taken off their call list; good luck with that as they seem to have unlimited variety of numbers calling us! Beyone anoying!
507-540-0492 Another robo call from a “Cardholder Services” – this company that has hold music on when you pick up & when you try hitting zero to get an operator so you can tell them to take you off their call list (especially since you are already on the Do Not Call List) you cannot get anything but the hold music! When you google their phone #, all you get are websites for reporting harassing calls! Also, they change their number & call back regularly even though anyone with half a brain would never do business with them (they come off as scam artists because most legitimate companies do not harass people with robo calls!) Report them to the federal government at: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2
Keep getting called by this company (never leaves messages) and am on do not call list. Want them to stop calling me.
They call numerous times. The Do Not Call list ONLY WORKS for reputable, REAL businesses. These yahoos don't care about lists, they just try to scam your card numbers and milk you for all you're worth! Huge scam!
