Weird - I picked up (usually don't when I don't recognize the number) and someone was talking, like they were in the middle of a conversation with someone else. I said "hello?" and they hung up.

Same here. I didn't answer but they left a recorded message. Sounded like a guy was in a middle of a conversation then a prerecorded message came on that I couldn't even hear! This number has been calling me for 3 days straight so far!

The caller stated he was calling from Hilton Honors. I usually do not answer calls that are not identified, but it was from Florida, there was just the hurricane there, and I have family down there, so I thought it was important. He knew my name and tried to sell me a 4 day, 3 night stay in Las Vegas. It was very difficult to get him off the phone.

Called on behalf of Hilton Rewards. Offered 4 nights in Myrtle Beach for $499 and a Bahamas cruise with Royal Caribbean. Asked for credit card information.

Time share pitch. Free stay in Hilton hotel. You must commit to the pitch on the spot. The guy on the other end will keep you on the line and won't give up until you hang up on him.

They called and did not leave a message. This happened several hours after I made an online purchase through the online pay service "Square Inc. "

The caller immediately started into her "Hilton Honors" script. I told her I had no interest and she hung up. Sounded like a scam.
