The message is vague but talks about not using my Internet. I'm a highly technical user and know it's a scam of some kind. I blocked the number but they keep leaving messages. How can I stop them completely from calling my number?

Said that my Windows is out dated and if I do not upgrade I will be jailed and fined up $1000.00. I don't own a computer so this is obviously a scam.

They have called me four times on my landline in the past week at different times twice on the number listed above about outdated Microsoft key story with threatening tactic first time, second time more of a soft soap tactic. encouraging me to call because my computer could be compromised. Third phone call from different phone number 347-892-4950 and a company name Smith Technology. Fourth phone call from Trumbull NE 402-743-588 Did not answer calls just let them go to my answering machine so I can record I will be filing a complaint with FTC and Microsoft as they are aware and are working to help resolve this issue by encouraging people to file a complaint and Microsoft also has a number on their website for you to call them about the scam if you would like to speak with them about it. I almost got scammed before about a two years ago and I am person coming from a family involved in all areas of law enforcement. I am very disappointed about how these extremely low and depraved these individuals are to swindle and try to swindle millions of dollars from millions of people some of who are very fragile and easily vulnerable to their malicious con.game. I strongly encourage everyone who gets these calls. do not answer these calls, record them, keep track of calls by writing them down so you can give as much detailed information as you can about them when you file your complaint with the FTC, Microsoft, your local authorities, the attorney general or congressman for your state, and also call your phone companies security department as well if you have one. . Watch the video on this website I am very encouraged by it as well and I liked what they said about the squeaky wheel getting the grease.because that comment is so very true. The sign of true strength does comes in numbers. and also most of the time a concrete resolution..
