Somehow got a hold of my office number and tried to read me an affidavit about some lawsuit... I have no idea what this is concerning, so I took the phone number and told them I would call them back. Glad I looked it up here to see that it is a scam!

This is a SCAM do not engage in conversation with these people. If you must, tell them you know this is a scam. Once I addressed the scam to them the response was "fine get arrested b***h" clearly, they do not work for any attorney. DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.

This number called reported to me that they were a law firm and that the St. of Or. was going to investigate me for fraud because of a loan I know I never took out. They said pay or someone will come arrest you in 3 hours and throw you in Jail for 21 days. I called the Or. State police, The City police and the Sherrif. The scary thing is they knew a lot of my info to so I had to report it to my credit protection.

This man with a strong foreign accent contacted my husband's employer and stated that his SS number was identified in a law suit and that he worked for the Peterson Law Firm. I got the number and called him back. He was rude and threatening. He stated that there was a warrant for my husband's arrest and that he must contact them within three hours. He would not say what it was for or give any further information. I told him I had contacted our attorney and he said "fine, let him call me"! I also told him I had contacted the FTC, which you can do with these calls. They are illegal and I told him every time he called it was a $1,000.00 fine. I finally hung up because I couldn't understand him he was talking so fast. Do not engage with these morons.

Called 10 times in one day threatening to have me arrested for some pay day loan from years back that I never got. Every time they told me 2 hours and I would be arrested. Called me profane names over and over anytime I asked for a validation notice. They break every rule there is for FTC however they don't care because they will never be held accountable because they are not a real company. Sad thing is people actually pay money to these people in fear.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I had already filed complaints with the Attorney General's Office, FTC and the BBB. He said they would start the "legal process" and hung up.

I have had the exact same experience. It happened about 6 months ago and I told him what he could go do to himself and it stopped. Well last night it happened again,I calmly told him to come meet me and we can discuss it.I am still waiting for him to set up a time. Do not fall for any of the c**p that is happening on the phone nowadays.
