I got a call from this number on August 15 at around 2:35 PM. I did not answer and they left no voicemail; however today I accidentally called them and before I could hang up a woman speaking Spanish answered. I don't know who these people are but others on 800notes say it's a car insurance company. Don't pick up the phone if this or another unfamiliar number calls and they should leave you alone.
I just got a call from them too, but decided to have a little bit of fun. Yes I'm at work & have more important things to do... but this was so much more fun than work!! I called the number back & "Jessica" answered then hung up when I asked for the name of the company; so, I called again (re-dial is so convenient!) & got "Vincent" who was a little more receptive to my question & even offered to give me the address when I said I wanted to file a complaint because they call my cell which on the DNC. He started to give me the address "Insurance Placement Center @ 759 F**k You" and then hung up. That just made me laugh and so I decided to call again... and again... and again... I probably called 20 times & a few of those times I got the same people. Eventually they just started hanging up on me (guess they recognized my number) & one guy even said "Goodbye" before I could even say "Hello". Another guy immediately said "We're placing you on the do not call" and hung up. I continued calling (again, gotta love that re-dial button) and they would just sit there, saying nothing, then hangup. Eventually I got bored and decided to get back to work... but it was such a nice reprieve from the daily grind that I think I'll try again tomorrow. I mean, really, they were courteous enough to call me and waste my time, so I thought it only fair to return the favor. Try it! You'll like it :)
I got a recorded call that said "According to information provided by the Department of Motor Vehicles you are paying too much for auto insurance." I knew this was a lie because last time I got such a call I called the Department of Motor Vehicles and they said they do not even have records of what anyone pays for car insurance. Then I pushed 1 and Casey came on the phone. I made her repeat her name and the name of the company which she said was "Auto Insurance Placement Center." I asked her where the "Auto Insurance Placement Center" is and she said "Austin, Texas" which doesn't match the 281 area code. I asked her for the address and she said "Sir, I'm going to wish you a good day. Goodbye." Then I filed a do not call complaint.
I was in school (I'm a high school student) and in the middle of class this number calls me. I pick up the phone to hang up and maybe send a text depending on who it was, and its this random number I'd never seen before. I call and ask who it is and then proceed to ask to be put on the do not call lid, but when I asked, the only answer was a f*** you.
When I see a number I do not recognize I never answer at all and then right away delete number. Seems to do the trick. I get a few calls like this throughout the month and aIl certain they are telemarketer's because they never leave a message.
The number is no longer in service if you call them back. What a scam!
Report these asshats to the FCC. Get them Fined until their they bleed. https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2
Got told that if I didn't want to receive any more calls from them to press option 3. I pressed option 3 to get: I'm sorry but you have reached a wrong connection in error. Yeah, right.
