This caller keeps calling never says a word and then hangs up. This has been going on for several weeks now and they do it several times a day. Very annoying when you are busy!

They wanted me to give personal information. They said I had a private call they need to transfer me to. In the back ground was a lot of other talking and I could hear people clapping. I told them I didn't believe them and did not give information. They did have the last 4 digits of my ss# and wanted me to verify. I did not.

Caller ID showed 893-605-8796 but voice message said, " this is a lawsuit against you and to call 260-247-8141 or legal action will be taken against you. Call 260-247-8141. This is a scam because if you google or call the number that is on your caller ID 893--605-8796, it is not listed in the US or anywhere. And when you call 893-605-8796 the operator comes on to say, "the number or code you have dialed is incorrect". Then when you call 260-247-8141, a guy with an accent from India answered the phone and asked me, "what number are you calling from?" I told him what does it matter? What's your number? He then raised his voice and told me, "did you not listen to the message on your voicemail"? I told him, I did listen to the message but I want to know who did you want to speak to? He said, this is a lawsuit against you> I told him, Really? Well, we have a lawsuit against scammers like you. He then placed somebody else on the phone who could speak clearly and he asked me, "who is this?"? I asked who are you? Then both of them were talking and I finally told them that they are on speaker and my husband who is a detective heard everything on this call. They immediately hung up. These foreigners will do anything to get free money from innocent people. DO NOT BELIEVE VOICE MESSAGES WHEN THEY THREATEN YOU THAT THEY ARE FROM IRS OR LEGAL ATTORNEY OR SHERIFF. INVESTIGATE FIRST OF ALL.
