The caller pretended to be from IRS. He had quite a bit of accent and introduced himself as officer Roger Gibson. He told me that there are three banking criminal cases filed by IRS against me and wanted to confirm my address, which apparently he knew. I insisted to call him back without confirming my address. I asked him for his ID which he gave as "F6007". The number turned out to be a bogus number, however the called id was correct. Since I didn't prolong the conversation, I'm not sure the true intent of the caller, but my feeling is that the caller was hoping to get some more personal info or in the best case scenario, extract money.
