I received a call this morning from a man claiming to be from Windows Technical Support. Although he had a heavy Indian accent, he said his name was Marshall. I learned that this phone number is a land line in Leeds, Alabama. Note that this IS NOT a toll-free number (Windows numbers ARE toll-free). I have found this phone number on multiple internet sites that report scammers. Windows will NEVER call you to tell you that there is a problem with your computer. Don't believe the posts that say that a computer was fixed by these people. The posts are undoubtedly put there by the scammers themselves.
THESE ARE TEXT MESSAGES WHICH I AM BEING CHARGED FOR. I HAVE BEEN ON THIS LIST OVER THREE MONTHS.
Harrassing...calls everyday at least 4x per day....I have blocked number.. SCAM, SPAM, TELEMARKETER, ETC
Company has been calling me for months. Uses different phone numbers. This one said it was a California cell phone so I answered it.
They sent me a text message with just "hello, Richard". Stupid me, I responded because I did not know if maybe one of my friends or family had changed their number or something. This is rediculous. I do not think that marketers should be able to send us SMS messages.
they called today, I ask him to take me off his list the first time, they called back a few hours later...
I have received my "2nd and final notice" for over 6 months. I spoke with a rep and asked to be removed from the calling list. She responded, "Yes, we can." and then quickly hung up. I have been registering complaints every time I receive calls from this bogus operation.
