We have received calls from this company on our three do-not-call numbers. On one of the calls I indicated I was annoyed, but got another call on another phone a few days later.
Repeated calls about "the financial stimulus." "This is your second and final reminder."
This was an unsolicited call to a do-not-call number to possibly obtain credit card info via a "lower your bills" pitch. Many complaints have been made to the originator of the call by myself and others, apparently. I've called my state Attorney General's Consumer Affairs Division to complain. I would hope that action could be taken to terminate the phone service used to make these illegal calls and perhaps that federal prosecution be initiated agains them. The person who answered the phone on this and previous occasion did not speak with an accent. These calls are connected to both male and female boiler room employees.
I have been getting calls from this number for well over a year and every time they call they leave a recorded message that say something like "we are offering you a one time offer...blah, blah, blah". I thought the calls would eventually stop but after receiving another today I picked up and was put through to a live operator. She started by saying something about credit debt and was well into her written script when I explained in a very nice manner that I had been receiving this one time chance call for well over a year, going on two, and I wanted my name removed from the caller's list. She hung up on me without uttering one word. This is a nuisance call.
I asked my name be removed from the caller's list. They hung up on me without any words.
Here's a copy/pasted comment from another blog that works to stop these calls; I got a easy way to stop these continuous calls; 866-246-7196. Another website for the caller with the last 3 digits of the phone number different had a comment from a person who researched to get this do not call request service. They provide this service to a small number of companies that call consumers that want to minimize complaints and save time not calling people who don't want to be called. First give the caller's phone number to verify it's on their list. Then give them the receiving phone number to add to the do not call list.
They want to offer lower interest rates. I picked up and asked them not to call to no avail. I get 1-2 calls daily. Today I picked up and asked how they got my number. She said from my bank. When I asked what the name of my bank is, they put me on hold and hung up. Scammers.
I gave up, trying to stop these calls. When I get them now, I press "1" (to get a person on the line) and then place the phone in front of the TV. Today I yelled "You must think I'm stupid!". They hang up in about 15 seconds. I don't care if they keep calling; I take a bit of pleasure in being less than courteous...they deserve it!
Get this call almost everyday. You can press what ever they say to be removed from the list and you still get calls. I'm going to try the previous persons's trick and let them listen to the tv a while!! Good One!
HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER. WHO ARE THEY--SCAMERS--THEY NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE. CALLER ID SAYS SURVEY--SURVEY FOR WHOM & WHAT????????
